I hope you can help. I have been messing with this for HOURS. I upgraded my sites from 5.12 to 6.8 and finally got everything working, except for image uploads. The end user doesn't know any HTML so I want it to be very simple. I have tinyMCE working fine but the icon for uploading an image disappeared. I would to click on the image icon in the tinyMCE menu and then the pop-up window would appear. Next to the "Image URL" field used to be an icon to browse the local PC. Where did it go and how do I get it back???

Over the past 2 days I have installed and messed with every possible image upload module but I cannot get it to work. Which one do I use?

The end user needs to be able to upload an image and Drupal creates a thumbnail automatically with a link to the full size image.

Really appreciate the help.

Image Assist
This module doesn't make sense to me... as a default install the Image-Assist icon appears below the body form. I click the link but the pop up window contains all of the forms that the normal create-page contains (title, body, URL-path, publishing-options, authoring-information, etc) and when I click "insert" nothing happens.

IMCE
I have this module installed and it should populate the upload-image icon on the tinyMCE popup (I think) but the icon is not there.

Image Upload
Right now this is the only upload module that works for me. I use it to upload the image and I instruct the end user to copy the displayed image-url into the tinyMCE popup. But this only works for full size images... the workflow for thumbnails is too complicated for the end user using the Image-Upload to tinyMCE method (it would require them knowing what naming convention for the alias URL of the uploaded image, then inserting the thumbnail and then linking the thumbnail to the fullsize URL).
