I have around 100 vocabularies, each with dozens 170x130 images. The admin page is really huge and hard to manage... Maybe it would be more user-friendly if small icons were displayed (say the size of the table line, or more), possibly linking to the full size image.

Okay, you got it. If you have Imagcache, there is a new admin page resizing option under the "Advanced" settings fieldset. You can set up a preset to whatever works for you.
