user tables corrupted

Hello, I am looking to upgrade my site in the near future. I am having issues because i noticed that the user table in the drupal database is corrupted, which means upgrading drupal and its modules presents a certain because i cant import a back up.

How to i fix this without messing up who posted what, etc?
