Issue Summary
By design, Its awesome. Just thinking of having this branch..
In real time, if there are some swear words appered (or) some prohibited words appeared in the nodes created by users, what's the use just replacing those words alone? As the whole post might be of offensive. Just think of the spam threat in current world!!!
It might be really useful and would dominate if this module has some kind of options such as unpublish the nodes/pending for moderator approval ...
Just its my thought ...

You might want to consider the Spam module then as it's designed to act the way you are asking. Also consider the Abuse module as it has a 'watchlist' sub module for automatically flagging certain words.
Wordfilter could be bent to work the way you are asking but since there are already other modules that handle automatic unpublishing you might to start there first.
