Ad Bard module not showing up after installation

swami - January 4, 2009 - 19:02

I'm running Drupal 6.8. I downloaded & dropped in the Ad Bard module in sites/all/modules.
I didn't see the Ad Bard module under Administer->Modules, where I'm supposed to enable it.
Is there a dependent module that I need to enable? Help appreciated.

Did you remember to

Did you remember to decompress the file you downloaded? There should be an adbard directory in sites/all/modules. If you just put the adbard-6.x-1.1-1.tar.gz file in that directory, it won't show up.

Did decompress the file

Yes, I did decompress the file & I have other modules in the folder that show up fine, such as CCK, Views, FCKEditor. Only AdBard doesn't show up.
I was wondering if it needed a dependent module, that is not there in the installation instructions.

version

Did you install the correct version?

Any dependencies are enforced by the module's info file and you won't be able to enabled the module until the dependencies are satisfied. This, of course, assumes you can see the module listed on the admin/build/modules page. ;-p

My mistake-thanks for the responses

Sorry, my mistake. I simply copied the folder to the wrong place, while thinking that I copied it to the right place.
