I have an application that I am trying to do. I will explain the application then ask.. is this the module I should be looking at, and is there an alternative strategy/module I should be looking at:

I want to have a button ( "contact" ) that will contact the author of the node. The application is a FSBO ( for sale by owner). members can leave rental and sale listing information. I want there to be a contact form that includes name, email, phone and comment with capcha.

so I am looking at webform, formsapi and CONTACT form. But I have not looked in depth yet.

could someone comment on what they would do in this strategy? Is this another option I should look at?

but remember, there would be one email going to the author ( perhaps a carbon copy to admin).

I think webform would be your best bet. This request is however out of the scope of this module. You may be able to find more help with this in the Drupal forums or in the Drupal IRC channel.
