contact form menu is visible during administration, but as soon as i log out, the contact menu is not visible in primary links.
please help.

This has been answered numerous times. I did a quick search on "contact form not visible to anonymous users" and came up with multiple hits.
Start by going to admin/user/access. Check that the anonymous user role has the 'access site-wide contact form' permission.
