Stanza is an application (available on iPhone etc) that allows a user to browse an XML catalog of eBooks and download/read the eBooks to their device.

I am interested in writing a Drupal module that will provide an XML catalog feed in a format that Stanza can understand, so that a Drupal admin can easily administer an eBook catalog accessible from an iPhone with the Stanza application.

That's be a fantastic module! Looking at http://developer.lexcycle.com, they just appear to use Atom for their format, so it might not even be an enormous task.

I'd love to have something like this available for our local lending library's e-books catalog, but unfortunately I can't afford to sponsor it. Hopefully someone else will step up and fund this, since it'd be awesome to have.

You are right, it shouldn't be too tough. Especially if I started with a limited feature set. I have been toying around with the best way to do it in my head and have some ideas, but unfortunately I think I have too much going on at the moment to be able to justify taking on the project pro bono.

I really like the fact that libraries like yours are progressive thinking and already lending ebooks. Keep up the good work.
