When I have 'Clicking on category opens the questions/answers in a new page' selected and I go to my FAQ page and click on a category, the link goes back to my site's main page and not a category page.

The other two layout options work fine.

I saw something similar on 6.x after installing Pathauto. Do you have Pathauto running ? If so you need to do a bulk update for the faq categories.

Well, that did work. Unfortunately, I nuked my FAQ data while trying to figure out what was going on...

Thanks,
Eric

Eric,

I am guessing that you Nuked the data by Changing the Node Path Settings ? Not just the FAQ category path settings ?

If this is the case you should be able to just delete the latest entries in the Database Table (URL Alias IIRC) and do them again

Er, no. I removed and uninstalled the module... not very bright but it was late. I have backups of the DB, so I will re-input the data...

Is this still an issue?

I just had it happen -- exact same symptoms, categories hyperlink back to homepage in "Open categories in new page" mode. I also have the pathauto module installed so will try bulk update.

Yea that fixed it for me, after running the "Bulk generate aliases for terms that are not aliased" in Taxonomy the links went to the proper pages.

I confirm this problem and this fix. That's a very non-intuitive problem and solution for someone to have to deal with, particularly after this issue thread becomes inactive. It would be nice to address in some way for future users.

I'm not sure I can do anything to fix this from within the faq module, sorry. However I've added a note to the Known Issues page.
