Views 2 - Grid View with Alpha Pager to create multi-column A-Z Listing not working

HAVE: VIEWS - A-Z LISTING WITH ALPHA PAGER
Created a View (page display) to create an A-Z listing of everything on the site, and used the attachment to create an alphabetical pager at the top (Views is amazing!).

WANT: MULTI-COLUMN A-Z LISTING WITH ALPHA PAGER
Want two-column A-Z listing with an alphabetical pager. Attempted to use a grid view and it broke the pager.

Any ideas?
