"Try out a demonstration" links to demo sites. Ofcourse if any demo provided by module maintainer

The button exists.
BUT. It's up to individual contributors to actually publish a demo to put there though. If there is no public demo available, there is no button.
For many many modules, providing access to a working demo involves opening up admin access to a demo site - which may be inadvisable or hard to do securely.
If you are interested, making a polite issue request for a screenshot on the project page may be easy for the maintainers to provide, and at least somewhat useful for surfers.
We encourage maintainers to provide useful documentation and make their project pages descriptive ... but it requires individual work.
Without help doing that work, saying that they 'should' do things like this is not going to make it happen.
