Use as a embeddable widget?

I just read the description and I was wondering whether the code of this module could be used as a widget. Suppose your drupal website gives feed for each user (lifestream, activity, last pictures, ...), this widget could be use to be embedded on the users blog or any other website.

I know about http://drupal.org/project/embed_widgets module but perhaps this module might be lighter.
