Image Uploader and Resize

hockinm1 - January 7, 2009 - 18:13

Hi guys,

I am evaluating Drupal for use for the NHS (national health service) here in the UK.

I'm concerned about simplicity for users and performance, so I'm testing out the resize image functions on a few different opensource CMS's. This, Joomla, Drupal, Silverstripe and maybe one other.

I just installed Joomla Flash Uploader and it seems very good. So looking for an equivalent in Drupal now.

You can:
upload multiple files at once, create directories, batch resize images on upload etc.

What module in Drupal would I need for that?

thanks for your time in advance

Myles

If what you're asking is if you can use d5 modules on a d6 site, the answer is no, they are not compatible.

a few words regarding photo

a few words regarding photo upload and browsing ...

if you are talking 500kB photos, i.e. a pretty girl/boy JPeg, Png..etc, use any image upload module will be fine.

if you are talking 500MilB+ photos, i.e. a X-ray, NNR..etc, and you want after upload, other user may browse the image easily, u will need those special image upload/browse tools.

u will need upload with resume, browse with zoom, partial download, ..etc

Still no joy

I've got
FUploader
Image
ImageField
Most of CCK

Just when I click the upload button for an image nothing happens. Tried IE and FF.

I'm finding this a steeper learning curve than Joomla.

Thanks, Myles
