well, It wasn't my idea, I found it someplace here on Drupal.org. But it does work good and on the set up page at twitterfeed, you can add a prefix text to the entry.
I have also used the rss builder from the syndication module to add more stuff to twitterfeed. such as taxonomy terms and other things not specified as a content type in the twitter module.
Those ideas sound great, but what I'm really looking for is simply a feature that retweets (with @mytwitteraccount) the article using one my favorite URL shortener: bit.ly, with the same short URL (as originally posted so I can keep my stats) when a comment is posted. That way, I don't have to manually retweet certain articles. Plus, it would be a fantastic way for users to help spread my popular content.

lennart commentedHaving comments posted to twitter also would be very useful. Any chance this will be implemented?

I found an article that might help a developer with this, but it's a bit over my head: http://www.lopsta.com/en/story/send-yourself-a-direct-tweet-new-comments...
