I use a windows vista operating system, but my hosting account is Linux based. So if I load a test server on my computer, which kind should I install? Will I have a problem with compatibility with my website if I load a Windows version of a test server, or are the files still the same when I transfer them through my ftp client. Do you think I should I change my hosting account to run based on windows?
Also, do you think it is safe to use the hosts copy of Drupal or should I download it myself from scratch?
