If you point a menu to for example testpage?param=5 the query string cannot be removed anymore.

Replicated with 6.9 .
Steps to replicate:

  1. Edit a menu item, include a query string in the path and save.
  2. Verify that the menu item has the required path with query string.
  3. Edit the menu item, remove the query string from the path and save.
  4. The menu item still has the query string in the path.
