The current way of adding captions is somewhat complicated. It would be great if galleria could use the existing description fields that display when a file is uploaded. I have attached a picture clarifying what I mean.

Mark Theunissen commentedThat is a great idea and has been implemented in the latest beta-2 which will be released shortly. CCK captions are now removed.

fallsemo commentedThe only problem that now exists is if captions should contain links or have italic or bold text, the description field for the upload module does not support HTML. :(

Mark Theunissen commentedGalleria does not support captions with HTML anyway, so it doesn't matter. If an updated Galleria jQuery plugin comes out that _does_ support HTML captions, then I can change this, until then, not much I can do!
