Pingback module and captcha

Hi,
I was hoping to use the Pingback module, but don't want anonymous users to be able to comment without completing a captcha (recaptcha). Is this going to totally bork the Pingback module? If so, is there any way to accomplish what I'm thinking?
Ideally, i'd like comments to appear w/o moderation, but pingbacks to appear with moderation... impossible?

I just had this same question -- did you ever test it or answer your question? I will probably test it in the next few days to see what happens.

Update: Pingback seems to still work after I've enabled Recaptcha on comments.
