I downloaded the cvs version today...

When I try to click on "configure" for any block (e.g. admin/block/configure/user/2) I get either no change or a blank page.

- If I simply click on it, even the URL does not change from .../?q=admin/block.
- If I open in new tab it is a blank page.
Additional note (in case it could be relevant): I am on a shared hosting setup which forces me to comment out some of the .htaccess file to get Drupal installs to work.

and sorry for not being "l33t" enough... but, having now read the node that you refer to, it is still far from obvious to me (a "power user"/tester, not a programmer) that this is the same issue that I was reporting. I'll take your word for it though.

My fault, I didn't mention in http://drupal.org/node/35524 that I had fixed this bug as well.

Can you try the patch?

Sorry for the delay... I hadn't logged into my Drupal account for a while...

I can confirm that this issue has been resolved by the block_execute.patch described here.
