Cheers

please provide different 'po.fr' named file for each of the privatemsg modules.
in fact you can commit translation files into repository yourself. check out privatemsg as described on http://drupal.org/node/321. then you can place your translation files into the 'translations' folder in each of the modules' directory and you will be able to commit back.

I'm sorry i'v got a problem with potx to extract the core privatemsg_po file... :-/
I made an update. If someone could make it
#7
I manage to make an export of each sub-module with the last 6-x.dev version
The tranlation may be improvable, but it's complete...
#8
If you update the translation I'll commit it but the current version is probably quite outdated.
Any chance you can do that?
If not, I assume an outdated translation is better than no translation at all and might encourage others to update it.
#9
OK i'll try to uptade the translation with the latest dev release. I'm awayhis week-end so i'll have a look next week if you can wait for it.

Sure

FYI, the translation templates (.pot) are now up to date so you don't need to updat them yourself. They are also splitted up per module, as your translations files already are (which is great, btw)
