i created a new content. Secondly I exported the image field(field_image_cache) and then imported it to this new content.
Now when i create a type of this new content, I am able to upload photos. I am also able to see photo once i click on upload. However when i try preview or publish,I cannot see the photo in the 'teaser'( if thats what is called when you see a part of it on the first page).

Does the same issue happen when you add another field? If not, this is an export/import issue, rather CCK than ImageField.

I think we'd better just start over with this request. Please open a new issue in the ImageField queue if you are still experiencing this problem.
