Theming Image module

Hi,
new to Drupal, this is my first site using it. So far has seemed fairly straightforward if you do a little reading. However, I'm not a coder, and whilst I do ok with html and css, don't really know how to code any php from scratch.
I'd like to theme the image galleries which are generated using the Image module, but not sure how to do it.
I don't want anything complex, but I'm using light blue text on my page which is extremely hard to read on the boxes describing the galleries. All I really want to do is change the font colour to black or something darker, or the cream coloured boxes to something darker.
Is there a way that I am able to do this?
Thanks

You don't need to theme the module; just alter/amend/add to the CSS in your style.css form. Amending the CSS there will override what is in the css sheet that comes packaged with the image module. I use the webdeveloper module for firefox; firebug also works well.
