User Saved Searches

I've found a few modules including Views Saved Searches but was wondering what others may have tried for the following situation.

Various users would create an account and save their individual search parameters. Each time they log in they could view any new information that meets their saved search filter(s).

Any feedback or direction would be greatly appreciated.
