The November issue of the Swedish computer magazine "Datormagazin" has a 5 page article on Drupal, entitled: "CMS in all its beauty" (Swedish: "CMS i all sin skönhet"). The translated introduction reads: "To edit a website can be super-tedious work, but also absolutely wonderful. Much depends on what tools one has available. With Drupal, which is a Content Management System, it all gets much simpler."

The article goes on to tell about Drupal's free license, and then much of the rest goes to the installation and setup (access rules, first content, etc.). There's also a more advanced part about "turboboosting" your server for Drupal use, installation and configuration of Turck MMCache.

Unfortunately the article is only available in the paper version, but a summary of the content is found here (Swedish):

Edited the forum topic. See over.

The article is paper based, but I may quote any other interesting points from it later.

I'd like to hear more info on the turboboosting. I'm in the middle of setting up my new server. Would someone kindly summarize and translate this part?

Get better help from Drupal's forums and read this.

Have you looked at the handbook ? I think most of the same is there.

Turck MMCache: http://drupal.org/node/2604
Generally: http://drupal.org/node/2601

But I'll look at the article again later and compare.

I should add that this magazine is a superior computer magazine (both for windows and linux OS) in Scandinavia, and is widely read in Norway and Denmark, as well as Sweden.

Yes, Datormagazin is the default Software, Hardware LAMP publication for advanced computer types. I might go so as to say it is the number one print source for developer news and info. So it is very sad that Drupals swedish translation is not finished. Given the amount of Swedes online a lot of them will come to Drupal.org looking.

I will see if there is a copy left at the newsstand and translate it as best as possible. But Swedish is not French so I expect some things not to be fully translatable.

hehe. im a subscriber of the magazine. i got it like 2 days after i started out with drupal, guess if i was surprissed. like a sign, "you did the right thing to start use drupal". I dont have the energy to translate it though. sorry. actually its (as stated above) mostly based on stuff from the handbook.

Okay, I finally read this article. I won't quote anything here because it is not worth the translation. Basically the article is a "quick start" guide to installing and configuring Drupal in swedish.
