Issue Summary
The badges don't allows gif extension, giving me this note:
The selected file administrator.gif could not be uploaded. Only files with the following extensions are allowed: png jpg jpeg.
Strange is that in the File uploads gif is enabled as extension and that for for node attachment the gif picture i tried with badges works fine too.

just convert the gif to a png , jpg, jpeg

Gif files are the only way to get transparency on old IE browsers.
Is there any reason to exlcude gif files? If so, let me know.
In the meantime, I'm adding them to the file validator list for the next release.
