Hi is there a way to design a site using event and make it as close as http://www.mypunchbowl.com
especially the invite -it allows to import email contact from hotmail, yahoo etc...

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
