dropdown menu width

1) how can i center the main dropdown bar?
2) how can i make the submenu part hold the correct width, some menu items drop down to another line if the menu item is too long.

coding help witht his would be awsome if you cant add it to your theme since so many people have many diffrent ways of liking thier site.
