Hi,
I am uploading files into a directory structure created using webfm and am running into the following difficulties:

1. When I try to upload a file into one of my empty sub directories the message is that the upload was successful but the file does not show in that directory. After I go out of and back into webfm I find that the file was uploaded not into the empty subdirectory but into my root directory and was renamed as "emptysubdirectoryname_0".

2. If I try to move a file into an empty subdirectory within webfm using drag and drop, this does not work and I get a yellow message that the "filename" is read-only.

3. The same behaviors mentioned in 1. and 2. above manifest also in relation to one subdirectory from which I have deleted a file but which still has one other file in it.

Obviously this is a new phenomena since I could in the past upload files into empty subdirectories.

Permissions on all subdirectories is 775 and all files get 644.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I've never seen this behaviour before so I have no suggestions. The only thing I would try is opening up the permissions. Experimenting with FTP might help provide some insight as well.

thanks,

Not sure what the problem is. I ended up deleting the problematic directories and recreating them, and so far so good. They take new files now - both through upload and by drag and drop.

lilon thank you for reporting this and helping to make webfm better. Due to the long inactivity and being unable to reproduce this it comes to mind that this is somehow server specific (ACL comes to mind) thus I am closing this.
