Score for views fast search not being calculated

Issue Summary

I am not getting any score showing in my views fast search results (see attached screenshot).

Should I be seeing a score there by default?

Also, when I enable the node type rankings module, it doesn't seem to have any effect once I change the weighting, and when looking at the generated queries from devel module, there's no reference to the vfs_ranking_nodetype table.

Is it essential that I run the database queries as suggested here: http://drupal.org/node/166390 ?

Am I missing a patch that I should have installed (I have tried this with and without the views subqueries patch here http://drupal.org/node/143888).

Any suggestions as to how I go about debugging this are most welcome :-)
