When a user adds items such as image, it automatically promote it to the front. Is there anyway to disable this and let the user submitted page NOT to be promoted to the front? I know in admin, you have check box, but in the user's mode, there is no check box. Regardless, I would like the user NOT to be able to promote to the front. Any suggestions?

This shouldn't be posted as an Issue - since it's built in feature of Drupal.

You can specify the default behavior for new postings in the configuration. It depends on what version of drupal you have as to where in the admin section that would be. Generally, look at the /admin/node/configure/types URL on your site to modify for each type of content (eg "images", "page", "story", etc...).
