I have 5.x-1.0 and 5.x-1.x-dev (Jan 13, 2009) and both have the same problem (as far as I can see).

When I surf to map/node the map has markers on it as you'd expect.
When I grab the nodemap macro tag from the Gmap Location settings, it shows a map without any markers on it.

I have the same issue. map/node works fine (in IE).
creating a block using the same macro code shows the map, but no markers.

Also, the map/node page in Firefox show the map under a big gray box.

The macro used for the node map only sets up the map's settings. The markers are added later, in the code. It's not possible to duplicate the behavior just by copying the macro.

So how would you create a block containing all locations? I dont' really understand the Views stuff yet...
