Ive got a comment that IS published, is definitely NOT spam but is appearing in the Comments Spam listing with a status of "published/spam". I couldn't find any documentation anywhere on what this status actually means or how it gets set. Please advise :)

published / spam means exactly that. It's a published comment that Akismet thinks is spam. It could have gotten published manually by a site admin or other mechanism. If it's definitely NOT spam, then you'll want to mark it as HAM so Akismet learns from it.
