Following [#251466].

NodeReferrer Drupal 6.x port have been done, posted on #259837: Nodereferrer Drupal 6 patches + zip + Views integration, tested and reviewed by the community.
The lack of module owner replies makes me think that he/she needs some co-maintaining efforts.

This would be fantastic - we need a Drupal 6 release.

I support a D6 release. I've been using the patch and it seems to work well, but it needs to become official!

Drupal 6 version is unofficially out for quite some time now RTBC, there is even another module that depends on it. We definitely need a proper release so that we can work on any 6.x issues on their own threads.
