Jonathan should have a new version of his fantastic PHP class published soon. I haven't been able to reach anyone at Drupal so their browscap module will likely not work for awhile until someone updates it. Until your update method of preference has been updated you may have to do manual updates.

I give up on the membership system. Too many people are complaining to me and it's wasting too much of my time. So here's the deal. I'm getting rid of the login requirement. In exchange I'm gonna be much more liberal about banning abusing net ranges. Yes that means potentially banning millions of people needlessly. Do I care? Not a bit. Cause I can get my updates no matter what. Enjoy.
