Adding nodes with cck imagefields - error 2: node created but not referrenced

Node-types:
photo_cck - this node-type allows for uploading an unlimited number of images via the CCK imagefield.
listing - this node-type may reference photo_cck nodes.
Process:
1 - Click "add photo_cck"
2 - The create node form pops up after a little wait.
3 - "browse" to upload the first image.
4 - click "upload" for that image. Image uploads OK.
5 - click submit and see success message.
6 - the reference field has not referenced the node.

I can confirm this bug. I also tried using a simple Filefield and the same error occurs.

Have you verified you are using the latest filefield/imagefield?

Having the problem on Filefield/Imagefield 6.x.3.1 and Popups A&R 6.x.1.0.

Similar problem here - filefield & imagefield 6.x-3.1, popups add & reference 6.x-1.0. I get "bad response form submission" when i try to save a node I've added in a popup after uploading an image to the imagefield. See screenshot.
