I installed the module and right when I went to enable it ... this warning message comes up.

warning: Error parsing sites/all/modules/pcp/pcp.info on line 1 in /includes/module.inc on line 195.

Opened up the info file and something about CCK fields? I thought this was for core profile?

Same problem here. could you fix ? This module doesn't work otherwise

I threw this code into line 1 of pcp.info and got it to activate. Note that I have only activated on a dev site, not on a live site.
