Problems using user reference field in flexifield content type

Hi

I really like the module and it almost does exactly what i want, but have had a problem when trying to add a user reference cck field to one content type being inserted into another as a flexifield. The user reference field works normally in the first content type but when i go to the second one (which is using the flexifield) the user reference field shows up but finds no users.

Has anyone else had this problem, or been able to use user reference successfully with flexifield? Perhaps there is a workaround.

Apologies if this is known issue I have looked through the other issues and elsewhere but haven't found anything as yet.

Appreciate any help or suggestions as to how to fix it.
