This was mentioned in another thread...CCK and Imagebrowser.

This is available with http://drupal.org/project/imceimage
For example you can add a cck field to attach multiple images. When you make the node there are Add Image Links that when you click the IMCE Image uploader takes over. So you can grab from the server or from your computer like imagebrowser.
But image browser looks a lot better.
Since in this case the goal is not to insert the image into the node body but to attach the image, it seems to be a different request then what I read in http://drupal.org/node/328142.
