Hi:

I am on Drupal 6.8 and I keep getting an error saying that the Subject is required... only I don't see a field to enter the subject.

Any thoughts as to what could be the issue?

There should be a subject input field above the textarea. Can you please list your active contributed modules ? Maybe one does change the privatemsg form by accident.

Other than that, I have no Idea what could be the problem. If you like, you can send me the url to your site, so I can look at it myself.

In checking the contrib modules, I also checked themes. It is a theming issue somehow so it doesn't look like a bug.
