Drupal 6.9
Perhaps I'm missing something: I've reproduced the field structure for uprofile and set it up as a Content Profile - set it to take over User Profile.
The fieldgroups are picked up in the panel pane, but the data doesn't display - just Author Pane, Visitors and Topics. Does Content profile need to be "linked" in a way I'm missing? Are there parallel modules I need to upgrade? (This is a new D6 installation.)
AFK also does not create uprofile. Thanks so much for help here - this will be terrific when I can get it all working... great work!

nicolaik commentedI'm having the same problem using 6.8 planning to update soon. I cleared cache, and removed and then re added field groups in the panel panes but still no luck. Friend/Topics/Facebook Status/User Stats are being pulled fine. Birthday is not, but i'm assuming this still falls in line with the content field groups...
thanks...
Would it be possible in the friends pane to show the total number of friends a user has...not a big deal and not necessary, just wondering if it is possible.
take care

michelleAre you folks using the latest dev of CCK?
@nicolaik - Please open a new issue for feature requests rather than mixing them in with a support request.

bcobin commentedYup. 6.x-2.x-dev - most recent version, 1/15/09. Looks like it was a context "refresh" issue - I removed the Profile Node from User context relationship, saved and then re-instanciated it - now it looks like the fields are passing through.
The panel edit block shows just a null string and "fieldgroup," but hey, we're only alpha!
As to uprofile not being created, that's another issue I'm sure, but I'll mention that I miss the "Links" field type - it doesn't exist in Content Profile. Giving the title of the site its own field separate from the URL is most elegant. Is this an issue for Content Profile, or will you have uprofile in D6? Let me know if you think I should create a separate thread.
Thank you, Michelle, for all the hard work you're doing - amazing!

michelleHmm... Weird. I haven't run into that but, yeah, panels is in alpha so there may be weird glitches.
As to the uprofile not being created, yeah, content copy is very picky. If you don't install the link module it will choke on the whole thing when it comes to the link based fields in there.

Guess this is fixed, then.

bcobin commentedI'd say "fixed" with an advisory to users about Panels - you're right, it's still a bit glitchy, but that's to be expected from an alpha release.
Looking good - I did not have Link installed yet (duh.) Thanks so much, Michelle - now to get location maps happening... woo hoo!

michelleIf this problem still exists after we make the transition to panels 3, I'll definitely put it in the install docs. Right now, the only people who should be using this are developers who should know to check the issue queue. ;)

shunshifu commentedHey Michelle,
Great module! I remember way back in the old days following the instructions for this. It's come a long ways. Very cool.
I'm having this same problem. I did the suggestions above but no reward. Still get
"Content fieldgroup content goes here."
Thanks
Phil

michelle@shunshifu: Make sure you're using the latest dev version of CCK and try removing and re-adding the relationship context.

shunshifu commentedThanks Michelle,
Somewhere I missed that I need the latest dev of cck. Having a dumb day I guess.
Thanks again and a great and much needed module.

michelleAh, yeah, definitely need that. Fieldgroups panels were broken in CCK until recently.

POVYLAZZZ commentedHi,
can ysomeone give me step by step instruction how to fix this? For etc : "re-adding the relationship context" How to do this?
Please help me I `m new drupal user...
michelle@POVYLAZZZ: As a new Drupal user, you should not be using a module that is under active development.

POVYLAZZZ commentedSo how I am going to get skilled at drupal if I don`t try out stuff? Plus my drupal admin section is non-English and my English isn`t perfect so it is no wonder that I do not get something al once.
When are you going to make stable version? I gave a dead line for my project and it is two weeks from today, so I don`t have the luxury to wait.
This module is necessary for my site.

Hi, calm down, this is a pretty much piece of cake thing.
go to admin/panels/panel-page/user_profile/edit/context
In that page you´re going to see "Relationships", and under that " Profile Node from user". Delete it with the red X button that´s beside it.
After it´s gone, you´ll have to "re add it".
You´ll se under that that you can add a new relationship, choose the very same "Profile Node from user". Accept all default options in the new window that will appear, and Save.
That´s it.
I know that if you don´t try out stuff you cannot get skilled, but with all dev, alpha and beta releases, you should be extremely careful. What does this mean? DON´T USE THEM IN PRODUCTION SITES!
So if you´ve got a deadline for a client, maybe you should reconsider using panels (this was a panels issue).

michelle@POVYLAZZZ: If you want to try things and learn Drupal, that's perfectly fine. But, if you choose to use early alpha, not properly documented modules, you are on your own. Don't post asking for step by step instructions. And your deadline is not my problem. I am writing this module for free on my own time and don't appreciate your demanding tone. It will definitely not be ready for production use in the next two weeks.
@Rosamunda: Thanks for writing that up. I realize that bit isn't hard but there are other pitfalls with using early alpha software and I felt it was better to warn that it's not ready for use than get him over one hurdle only to have him stuck on the next.

POVYLAZZZ commented@Rosamunda: Thank you for instruction :)
@Michelle: You get my wrong. I am not demanding or blaming you for something I am just saying that if I can`t get stable version I have to do with what I gave. I am creating the project on my free time to and I`am not getting anything for creating it is charity project, but I have to finish it until one celebration (anniversary) that is it.
Well ok I’ll try to do without this module for a while but as I said "This module is necessary for my site." I’ll keep a close eye on all the updates for this module and the one witch are related to it.
