Description

I'm using zen with a subtheme. I followed the directions exactly as written to create the subtheme. After enabling the theme, I'm seeing primary links - but primary links are not enabled in the theme. If I enable primary links, I get two sets of primary links

Please describe your problem a little more clearly. Given that the title of this issue seems completely different than what you describe in the body of the issue, I don’t have a clue what is not working properly for you.

This may be related...

Getting double links for <ul> of navigation

This is my first run using Zen after the DIWD conference.

- I've added the primary link menu block to the navigation zone of the template.
- Theme registery notification is also showing double notification in the notification zone

I'm following the subtheme method. From what I see the subtheme uses the subtheme files and some Zen theme files as well as DC. There may be double item display or something but having trouble fixing the issue.

Navigation links in left margin display/operate as expected.

I just solved my problem. Primary links will always show in the navigation zone so there is no need to activate the Primary Menu Block there. This is great so now I can style the navigation zone menu items specifically instead of the Primary Menu Block. Thanks!

Yeah, enabling the primary links in the theme settings !== showing the core *block* for primary links.

I have the same issue, and the problem is that i don't want the primary menu in the navigation bar. Do you know how i can't de activate it or, at least change it (actually i want to keep it in the navigation bar but only showing the 1st level). Since it doesnt appear in the "block" section i can't apply a local_menu module to it.

@noyz - Not sure if I understand your problem but I previously had an issue of having two sets of the primary menu appear. All I had to do was to go to template --> MyZenTheme --> configure --> toggle display --> uncheck primary links.
