Currently there is a points branding for the upper and lower case plural form and a lower case singular. For translation purposes (in userpoints contributed modules, string 'You can't give less than one !point.') it is necessary to have a upper case singular.
For the german translation I could use the lower case singular instead because it is not needed. But the user interface will not fit because the entry is for lower case singular. I also cannot say if other languages will have the need of both an upper and lower case singular form.
So I suggest to add an extra field for upper case singular, coded as !Point.
Maybe a hint could be added to these branding fields, that it depends on the language which branding forms (upper/lower case, singular/plural) need to be provided. Feel free to decide this by yourself.
