When I use this module either in automatic or manual mode, it displays "Checking user name availability..." pernamently and it does not state of the user name is available.

Can anyone verify/ help please?

its working fine with drupal 6.9 dont know about 6.8.

I'm getting it too, where the AJAX check never seems to end and return a result of whether it's taken or not, and prevents the form from being submitted.
