Description

I've added a "friend gallery" to APK that will show the profile user's friends with names and pictures. It works fine but the picture sizes are all over the place. I'd like to add imagecache integration as well and have been poking around trying to figure out how. It looks like I need a new handler for the user picture that will act like imagefield does to work with imagecache. I'm a little fuzzy on all of this, being new to views 2, but it looks like UR is already customizing the user picture in views by allowing you to use "(requestee) User: picture".

So I'm wondering if this imagecache integration is something that could be added into UR? This has usage outside of APK so it doesn't seem like it makes sense to add it there. Is this anything you know how to do?

My apologies if I've gotten something muddled here. I've only recently gotten serious in D6 and views 2 is still a mystery to me. :)

Thanks,

Michelle

Sorry not sure is it's still an issue for you... I came across the issue while scrubbing the queue. UR-Views just links to user tables, but doesn't show the avatars itself. On the surface it seems like the deal must be between imagecache + views (which provides code for user.module). Quite likely a custom theming function for the desired field will work just as well. Pls reopen if assistance is needed.

alex: I'd actually forgotten about this issue. I begged in the imagecache queue for them to add it with no luck so I just put the whole idea on hold. Fortunately, I've recently learned how to make views fields so I'll be adding this to APK myself.
