hi everyone....
Userplane just came out with a drupal plugin. I am personally excited about using it one day when my site is complete. They had some kind words to say about drupal as well. check it out:
Userplane Announces Drupal Plugin and New Feature for Webchat
Userplane recently expanded the market reach of its free Instant Webchat application through the release of plug-in modules for community software platforms. With plug-ins already available for Simple Machines, vBulletin, Mambo and PHP-Nuke, Userplane is excited to announce the addition of the new Drupal plug-in.
This exciting new release will allow Drupal developers and administrators to quickly and easily add Userplane instant messaging and chat to their sites. Drupal has a rapidly growing developer community that is continuously improving the platform’s usability and functionality. It is fast becoming one of the best and most popular open-source solutions for user-contributed, content-based communities.
The Userplane plug-in installation includes pre-written code modules, available for free download to allow quick and easy installation. Since these site software systems have existing admin panels, site administrators can control all Userplane application features and functionality with ease within one location.By opening up its API to these platforms, Userplane embraces the open source community making Webchat and Webmessenger simple add-ons for any website.
The Userplane plug-in is available for free download and includes pre-written code modules – allowing quick and easy installation. Since Drupal and the other Userplane-supported site software platforms have existing admin panels, Userplane administration is integrated and can be controlled centrally. By opening up its API to these platforms, Userplane is embracing the open source community and making Webchat and Webmessenger simple, must-have add-ons for any community site.
“Drupal is emerging as one of the most exciting community application platforms available to developers. We are happy to be a part of the Drupal community and excited to open our API for quick development and plug-in expansion into systems such as these,” said Michael Jones, co-founder and CEO of Userplane.
In other Apps news – Userplane released the highly requested archiving feature for Webchat, now allowing integrated clients to maintain chat histories, logs of user activity, and create full audits on Webchat activity.
“We have clients that want to allow their Webchat transcripts to be fully indexed by the search engines or dynamically broadcasted to large audiences for live events. The new archiving feature allows each site to use the content flexibly – driving additional traffic to their website,” explains Jones.
Additionally, Userplane adds customizable background colors, button skins, and resizable windows for Webmessenger. After much anticipation, sites can now deploy Userplane’s Flash instant messaging tool with either globally-set color themes or opt for site-specified colors and button skins.

Hello,
I have the drupal plugin in hand and would love to release it, just waiting to hear back on the forum as to how I can submit the module. In the time being I can send it out to anyone who wants it, just let me know!
Thanks,
Shane
Here are the
links you need
http://drupal.org/node/10259
http://drupal.org/repos
and the application form
http://drupal.org/cvs-account
Please note that CVS account access tends to be done in batches about once or twice a month. :)
In your application it is best to indicate you have a working module and provide all the links and such.

Domain field
Call me an id10t, but i cannot figure out what i'm supposed to put in the domain field in the userplane.module.
I apologize if this is the wrong place to post...
I can get to the admin page through the link, but if i try to launch a session as admin, i get a pop-up and it immediately disappears.
I tried several combinations of url's and straight fqdn's but i can't seem to find the right combination.
i'd appreciate any help...
where you able to get the plugin to work?
It's still having connection issues, also, do you think the newer drupal 5.15 will work.. in the documentation they've only tested it on 5.2 and 5.3
Same problem here, I think
Same problem here, I think the problem is with the swf file itself actually.
Did you get a solution?
