I installed Drupal on a shared hosting account with godaddy. It installed fine, but i am not clear on how to get email functionality working. How can i get it so users get a comformation email when signing up or being able to email people that have signed up. Please help me. I am not sure what is wrong. I did try to install the modules "smtp and php mailer" i did read the instructions but they did not work.

no need to install anything on shared hosting..
mailserver should be configured automatically on Godaddy server.

setup contact form and check whether its working or not..
i have similar account on godaddy and its working fine.
