Webkit and Safari are currently described as follows:

  • Safari (Free. Proprietary. Mac, Windows only.)
    • Webkit - Safari-based tool similar to Firebug. (Free. Proprietary. Mac, Windows only.)

Webkit is only the Open Source Application Framework on which Safari and Chrome are build. The Web development tool for those browsers are respectively "Error Console" and "JavaScript Console". Description should be updated as follows:

  • Safari (Free. Proprietary. Mac, Windows only.)
    • Error Console - Web development tool similar to Firebug. (Free. Open Source. Mac, Windows only.)
  • Chrome (Free. Open Source. Windows only.)
    • Javascript Console - Web development tool similar to Firebug. (Free. Open Source. Windows only.)

Opera now has "dragonfly" and its description should be updated as follows:

  • Opera (Free. Proprietary. Linux, Mac, Windows and others.)
    • Dragonfly - Web development tool similar to Firebug. (Free. Open Source. Linux, Mac, Windows and others.)

URL of Development Tools page: http://drupal.org/node/147789

It looks like there are quite a few comments on that page that should also be integrated.

This is tough... This page will change so fast that it really would be a daily task to keep it upto date. To the original poster, you can make changes just click the Edit tab. Don't worry about asking for permission. I may have to apply for admin permissions to start taking care of comments.

can you give me links to Error Console, Javascript Console... and how do you want to include Webdevelopment tool?

Your include of the actual HTML is great! I would love if you added these links. I am not familiar to these tools!
