left navigation menu disappears if DHTML Menu Module enabled

Issue Summary

I had this problem, but was thinking there was some kind of conflict going on, I suspected it was my DHTML Menu Module, and by Golly, I was right! So I turned DTML Menu off, and I have my admin panel while Theme Developer is on.. great job on the module BTW!

I just have to learn how to make some changes and my own theme now.. :)

I just encountered the same problem after installing the Devel Module 6.x-1.13.

After disabling DHTML Menu Module, my left nav came back again.

There is one other anomaly. Only on all the admin pages, my leftnav is pushed wayyy down to below where the content ends. It's almost like that block is clearing the content block or something.

I am also using a Zen Subtheme (fixed layout) that has not yet been altered in any way. (Zen 6.x-1.0-beta3)

Actually thats not right. The original poster had it correct.

Turning on devel and theme developer makes the left navigation menu disappear if DHTML Menu Module was already enabled. Disabling DHTML Menu Module makes it come back.

i experience the same thing. had DHTML menu on, turned on Devel module & Theme Developer, and left navigation dissappeared (was using garland theme at the time)

but i turn off DHTML & everything works ok

[ system: drupal 6.9 + Devel 6.x-1.14 + DHTML 6.x-3.4 ]

Hi! I have the same problem, I enabled devel module and my left menu is gone. I have DHTML module enabled.
Now my issue is how to disable the devel module, because I dont see the left menu, so I cant do administer tasks.
Does anybody knows the direct url for the administer module page.

I am sorry for my naive question but how did you turned of DHTML without access to the left menu?

Same problem with right menu. I have install but not enable devel and themer module.

You intend for this module to break DHTML Menus?

This module is designed to be turned on and immediately turned off once you get the data you need. You should not need to use menus while it is enabled.

Please do not change a status set twice by a maintainer.
