When I?m at step 4 of 8, I get this list of errors, it is normal? I can proced or I have to adjust something? I'm using drupal 6.9

Have you installed node_import for Drupal 6 on top of a node_import for Drupal 5? If you did, remove the whole sites/all/modules/node_import directory and re-copy the 6.x version.

strange, I have never downloaded the node_import for 5.x

I am also getting this type of error across all of my domains after doing a 5.x to 6.9 upgrade.
I have run CRON and update.php as well as database repairs. I have removed any old modules for 5.x and have done all recommended updates for modules and themes.
Here is the error I am getting:

* warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/shopping/public_html/update.php on line 174.
* warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/shopping/public_html/update.php on line 339.

If there is a fix for this and I have overlooked it in another thread I apologize. I try to exhaust all resources before posting questions out here.

This is only on some of the steps, but the node import carries out fine.
