I've been looking for a module just like this. Do you have plans to port it to 5.x? How hard to you think it would be to do a 5.x port?

I do not have plans to port this module to 5.x, however I will accept patches. It shouldn't be too hard to port this module.

Here is a link to port modules from 5.x to 6.x http://drupal.org/node/114774. You can work backwards from that book page. There isn't much that needs to be changed, basically just Form API and menu system stuff.

I forgot to reply, but I finished a 5.x port of this module a few months ago. I ended up changing the module's functionality pretty heavily in the process, and incorporated some functions that might be under a different open-source license. So I don't know whether I can post the code here. Anyway, if anyone wants a 5.x version of this module, they can contact me.
